Rolando McClain with the Oakland Raiders

NFL Oakland Raiders have signed Crimson Tide linebacker Rolando McClain for a bucketload of cash. The Raiders took Rolando McCain early. He was the 8th overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft. According to ESPN, Rolando McCain has signed a five year deal worth $40 million including a guaranteed $23M . Well done, Rolando!

NFL Texans Cornerback Kareem Jackson

Houston Texans have reached a contract agreement with cornerback Kareem Jackson, the team’s number one pick (20th overall) from Alabama in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

He played in 41 career games with the Crimson Tide, starting all but one.

Wide Receiver Melvin Ray

Melvin Ray was part of the oversigned Alabama recruiting class of 2008 but was drafted by the LA Dodgers & played 3 years in minor league baseball. He’s now given up baseball and will try to make the Alabama football team in 2011. Melvin Ray will be 21 years old and currently has 4 years of eligibility to help the Tide.
